Family Solutions was founded by family law specialists, Claire Webb and Rebecca Hawkins, with legal experts Debbie Bulmer and Lynn Jackson joining in 2016 and 2017 respectively to develop and build the business.
Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1998, joined the Family Team at legal firm, Verisona Law, and was soon was asked to join the Partnership and lead the department. She was a founding member of the Portsmouth and South Downs Collaborative Law Group, is a Resolution accredited specialist in mediation, private children law and co-habitation, and a member of the Law Society’s Family Law and Mediation panels.
In November 2018, Claire was invited to join the UK’s Family Justice Council, an advisory body sponsored by the Ministry of Justice which promotes an inter-disciplinary approach to family justice for the best possible results.
Claire is also a qualified Arbitrator, enabling her to adjudicate on cases involving children and matrimonial finances,(for more information visit www.ifla.org.uk or email ) and a practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Rebecca qualified in 1999, became Partner in a local law firm and specialised in Family Law. Like Claire, Rebecca is a Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer, has sat on the Family Justice Council Committee and advises local mediators and solicitors on running ‘child-focussed’ practices in line with the government’s ‘The Voice of the Child’ policy.
Since opting to specialise in family law in 2000, Debbie has become one of the most recognised and recommended specialist family lawyers in Portsmouth. Having led family law teams at a number of prestigious firms, she has built an enviable reputation in three key areas; Financial Disputes including work involving pensions, (especially those in the Armed Forces,) Disputes involving children such as where they should live and International Family Law. She is often called on by legal professionals across the UK and from abroad to advise on matters involving matrimonial property, assets and finances in different countries.
After graduating with a degree in law and economics from Bournemouth University, Lynn passed her LPC at Guildford College of Law and completed her legal training in October 1990. She spent seven years working in the litigation department of law firm Penningtons and then moved to become a Partner at ML Law where she specialised in family law. A member of Resolution, Lynn has qualifications in financial provision, dispute resolution and is an accredited specialist in matters related to children and complex financial matters.
